Imagine a timeless watercolour painting of a glorious fortress guarding tens of red-roofed houses, while mirroring in the glittering blue sea. Can you think of something else than soothing romance here in Dubrovnik? Well, try this exercise again – imagine white yachts of all sizes shimmering in the sun, wellness sanctuaries, amazing views and alfresco fine-dining. And yes, is still Dubrovnik, the little star at the Adriatic. Growing in popularity, Dubrovnik travel is nowadays, in the grand tradition started by Richard and Liz in the ’70s, a must-see for the celebrities wishing to indulge in the heart of this city that offers itself both in stones and spirit.

What is so special about Dubrovnik luxury? Why surpassing more and more the classic stars of Monte Carlo or Nice? It could be the postcard image of the Old Town, today part of Unesco World Heritage. It could be the dramatic sea view from the Belleview Hotel apartments. It could be the palate delights of the fine-dining restaurant in Pucic Palace? These high-end facilities are only the effect of popularity, and actually, the reason why celebrities choose Dubrovnik tourism is mostly because the unspoiled spirit of the city – this is a place to see and be seen, but in essence, a place to feel.
It’s only here, embraced by the majestic stoned wall curtain of Old Town, that they can get the sense of authentic nobility in the five star castle of Pucic Palace, explore the antique shops on Stradun pedestrian next door, and yet be connected with the modern world. It’s only here, charmed by the restless sea, that they can indulge in the exquisite Spa with Mediterranean blends of Excelsior Hotel, and only here that they can strike a pose in the glorious sunset over the Adriatic, while chilling with a cosmopolitan on the spectacular terrace of Grand Villa Argentina. The real charm of the Dubrovnik travel extravaganza stays in the authenticity and the perfect balance between the modern design, the history traces and the ever changing nature.
And when it comes ab
out exploring in style, the lovely surroundings of lush green islands and calm blue waters make the perfect set-up for organising a cruise to swim, hang out, sail, catch sun and savour the freshly caught seafood. Most of Dubrovnik tours start in the city’s harbour, always expanding to receive brighter and bigger yachts.
Embraced by the history and caressed by the sea, Dubrovnik might look like just another romantic seaside destination. But then there’s the five stars extravaganza, the fine-dining, the yachts, the Spas, and wow, the unparalleled views from exquisite apartments. Wanna feel like a million dollars baby? So be it Dubrovnik travel!
