1. Guinness Storehouse

2. Kilmainham Gaol

This Gaol was built in 1792 and throughout its history housed many prisoners until 1924 when it was closed. Today it is now considered to be Ireland’s most famous disused prison. In 1798 it housed members of the Society of United Irishmen, whilst in the 1840′s it was home to Fenians and Land agitators such as Parnell and Davitt. 3. Dublin Castle

This building is home to some of the city’s oldest surviving architecture and was constructed between 1208 and 1220. For most of its life (7 centuries) this building was used as the centre of power by then English. But then in 1922 it was taken over by the Irish Free State. 5. Dublinia

As you wander through this attraction you learn more about the time when the Anglo Normans lived here as well as the time in the 1540′s when all its monasteries were forced to close. As well as models and reconstructions on display in the various exhibits there are a number of videos to be enjoyed.
